A 19th century Indo Portuguese rosewood serpentine commode, fitted two short and three long drawers, on scroll feet, W.4ft 1in.

Fair wear and tear the top with a number of old splits running through the timbers from left to right, one patch has been put in towards the back of the top, the back left corner has a section broken away and missing, light surface scratching and a circular ring mark, pronounced peg holes down both sides where the top is pegged to the top of the carcass, a section of edge moulding missing from the left side of the top left drawer, splitting and cracking showing to the right side of the opposing drawer, a little fading to the fronts of the lower drawers and base, old horizontal cracks and separation in the timbers to both sides along with some surface scratching, brass ware all looks original as do the locks but there is no key, overall fair condition, attention needed to the top two drawers but elsewhere just really involving repolishing.
