A Chinese soapstone overlaid lacquer panel, late 19th / early 20th century, decorated with a vase of flowers, an incense burner and cover and a bowl of lotus on a stand on a black lacquered ground, the reverse of the panel with Japanese Hakone marquetry decoration, rectangular rosewood frame, total 44 x 51cm

There are some losses and restorations to the lacquer ground in the upper part of the screen. Please see further photographs. There is some slight damage and filler to the marquetry on the back.
