A Chinese export sandalwood box, late 19th century, the cover and sides carved in high relief with figures amid pavilions and trees, on four turned feet, 27cm

Side panels to both the cover and base are slightly warped and the joints have opened slightly with some glue residue around the them, the clasp to the lock has been sawn through, otherwise in reasonable condition but a little grubby.
