A Japanese ivory figure of Benten, early 20th century, the immortal standing holding a flute, wearing brocade engraved robes with flowing ribbons, engraved two character signature 'Gyo ?' to a red lacquered seal to the base, 23.5cm, loss to flute

Figure has a loss to her flute at one end, there are a few fine age cracks, on the right side of her face, some around the base, there is a natural hole in the ivory by the earring on her right ear otherwise good condition.
