A fine Belle Epoque natural pearl and diamond pendant, circa 1910, centring on a natural pearl pendant of pink tint suspended between two convolvulus flower motifs, within an oval floral wreath border suspending an additional natural pearl pendant, set with rose-cut and cushion-shaped diamonds, intricately mounted in platinum openwork with millegrain borders, length 7.3cm, French import assay marks for platinum, detachable pendant and screw threads for brooch fitting, now deficient

Condition:
A beautiful jewel in good condition - some slight warping to outer edge of oval frame, some minor breaks to supporting framework, nothing obvious, all secure and holding its shape. Minor solder to strut suspending central pearl pendant, and pendant itself, also not obvious. One pearl of pinkish tint, the other of white tint, both of nice regular shape, pinkish pearl with bright lustre, slightly uneven nacre, visible glue residue to top, white pearl with slightly less bright lustre but smoother nacre, some minor banding. Largest two diamonds totalling approximately 0.80 carats. Workmanship very fine. Gross weight 14 grams.
