Two samplers by Elizabeth Whiting, one dated 1801 aged 13 years, the other dated 1809, Rendlesham Suffolk. The earlier 40cm wide x 50cm high. The later 31cm wide x 43cm high.
Condition - the earlier sampler has faded, the later sampler has severe damage to the top, bottom and right side edges and a hole near the verse. This sampler could be framed in a smaller frame to eliminate most of the damage.
