Condition:
Oil on an oak panel with several pronounced vertical cracks / splits running through the work, three of which have been reinforced with wooden blocks from the reverse, panel slightly curving out of shape particularly down the right side, paint very dirty with scattered mould marks and some blotchiness to the varnish, signs of retouching along he old cracks, apparently unsigned housed in a old ebonised ripple frame with a number of losses, indistinctly inscribed paper label on frame, Christie's stencil number SW023 on the back of the panel.
