Condition:
Oil on original canvas, pressure cracks showing throughout the work most notably a large curved crack running through the sky but other further craquelure elsewhere, under glass in probably the original ebonised frame which is now rather tatty, a small ink inscription on the stretcher. "Due to past issues with items being damaged in transit, we regret to inform you that we are unable to offer packing and posting services on all lots in this sale. This is non-negotiable. All items must be collected in person, or external packing companies can be recommended. Thank you for your understanding."
