Attribution of the sitter is by family repute. Oil on canvas relined within the past 20 - 30 years or so, canvas remains tight, paint a little dirty with some fine but stable craquelure and some bitumous separation of the darker background, original frame now overpainted and with numerous small losses, Lacy Gallery of London label verso.
