Two Martin Brothers stoneware grotesque musician imp figures, late 19th/early 20th century, the first a seated figure playing a pipe, incised mark ‘Martin B.. Lon..’, ebonised stand total height 13.5cm, losses, the second a seated figure playing the castanets, incised marks ‘RM 1891’ to the underside and ‘Martin.’ to his rear, 12.5cm high, restoration to two toes

Condition:
The pipe player has losses to the tip of his pipe, and to his right buttock through the incised mark would be and is therefore incomplete. The figure playing the castanets has restoration to the tips of the two middle toes on his right foot, otherwise in good condition.
