Lot 472 , A good set of four George III silver oval pedestal sauce tureen's and covers
A good set of four George III silver oval pedestal sauce tureen's and covers, with applied panels of angels and cherubs and engraved armorial, with engraved domed cover, surmounted with fruit finials, with reeded loop handles, maker H.G, London, 1778, width over handles, 23.4cm, 81.9oz.
£2,000-3,000
Condition:
Minor nicks, dings and surface scratches in places. Evidence of some depression to the applied panels. One wobbles very slightly on a flat surface. Hallmarks generally clear but with some mild rubbing places. In our opinion all the decoration including the oval panels are contemporary with the set.
