A George IV ormolu mounted rosewood breakfront dwarf bookcase, with rectangular foliate paterae to the frieze, two central glazed doors flanked by further glazed doors, all divided by fluted acanthus base pilasters, on a gadrooned ormolu mounted plinth base, width 306cm, depth 60cm, height 102cm

Condition:
Honest if slightly neglected condition, some fading, scratches, dents and water stains to the top which looks at one stage to have had a raised back or mirror leaving a shallow indentation, 193cm wide and 3.5cm deep, at the back, one notable dent to the top left edge, ormolu mounts a little oxidised, doors have latches operated by foliate carved wooden knobs and above them fitted locks but no key. Each bookcase section with two original reeded adjustable shelves which are adjusted by wooden pegs, plinth discoloured and scuffed with some losses of veneers. Section of rear section of plinth base replaced.
