Oil on canvas relined many years ago, canvas remains tight, paint a little dirty with a fine craquelure running throughout the work, one or two light surface scuffs and scratches particularly near the blue ribbon, housed in a 19th century gilt gesso frame that has numerous small cracks but remains good and intact, labels verso stating Lady Brabourne Stairs no.92 and no.92 King James II (oval: Armour; Lace Jabot.)
