Both oils on mahogany panels, 'Dancing Lesson' dirty with a crack running above the piper's head, signed and dated 1863 lower left, title label verso, the other dirty but no other faults, signed lower right, indisinct label verso, both in ornate original gilt gesso frames with small losses particularly at the corners.
