Oil on canvas relined many years ago, canvas remains tight, paint looks clean with a shiny varnish and a fine but stable craquelure throughout, no sign of any signature, housed in an ornate 19th century gilt gesso scroll frame which has suffered numerous small losses and cracks.
Bolognese School is an attribution that came from the vendor.
