A good cased suite of three late George II silver graduated tea caddies, by Pierre Gillois, in fitted shagreen box, the caddies of bombe form, with fruit or bird finials, on shell feet, London, 1755, the box with velvet interior, on claw and ball feet, with key, 23.5 oz, tallest 12.8 cm

All the caddies have an engraved crest. All are in nice claen condition, apart from a few very minor surface scratches and tiny nicks, commensurate with age. All hallmarks on base and lids are clear. Both lids on the 2 smaller caddies are a little loose in situ. One of the ribbon fixings on the interior of the lid is broken. There is some minor damage to the shagreen box in the form of two small repairs, some scuff mark and scratches.
Would suggest that the case is slighty later as has the incuse duty mark on the silver handle on the lid.
