Oil on an old oak panel, paint looks to have been cleaned over the years and the grain of the panel is now visible through the paint, otherwise paint now looks a little dirty and has a rather shiny coat of varnish, monogrammed lower left and housed in a 17th century style hardwood frame, the trace of a Christie's stencil number on the back of the panel.
Comes for sale from a local private collection formerly the property of Dennis Ward, a local connoisseur.
