This piece is carved from very heavy timber, the red finish shows various states of brightness and rubbed worn commensurate with age, generally raised extremities are all rubbed through the lacquer, there are some traces of gilding showing particularly underneath the hand, there is an old split running down the left side of the face, possibly a further old restored split down the front of the robes, otherwise fine surface chipping and wear throughout, the feet show some rubbing to the extremities, the piece does stand up without additional support.
