Two Chinese rosewood armchairs, late 19th century, the first carved with the figure of a bird amid fruiting branches to the back panel, the second with a bat and shou medallion flanked by lingzhi fungus, both on square legs joined by stretchers

Both chairs have loose joints and are rickety. One chair has a replacement stretcher made in another wood. Both some splitting to the feet.
