A late 19th century French brass carriage clock, with canalee case, the Roman enamelled dial with blued steel beetle and poker hands, the two train spring barrel movement with original silvered lever platform escapement and rack striking on a steel gong, height 6.75in.

The case is a little dirty and has handling marks, otherwise in good condition. There is a small chip to the bottom left corner of the back door, the top glass is very thick unusually so and therefore may well be a replacement, the dial is in good condition apart from some hairline cracks to the top right corner which are barely visible when viewing the clock normally, the hands are good, the movement is polished, it functions, the lever platform appears to be the original, the lower right hand pillar of the movement is a little dented from untidy workmanship.
