Two Louis XIV style ormolu and glass hall lanterns, 11 x 28in. & 14 x 31in.

Two Louis XIV style ormolu and glass hall lanterns, one hexagonal the other octagonal, decorated with crowns, scallop shells and bearded masks, 11 x 28in. & 14 x 31in.
Estimate £1,800-2,200

Both lanterns are made of gilt bronze and we would estimate there age as being early 20th century, no sign of any inscription or makers mark to indicate country of origin, personally I would say French, glass is in good condition. These have been recently overhauled and are now in very good condition, we think they have been converted from originally being for gas use.
