A large Sunderland pink splash lustre decorated jug, early 19th century, transfer printed in black and over-enamelled with a view of the Cast Iron Bridge at Sunderland, a sailor and ship and black enamelled with the verse "A man of wit and understanding, can kiss a girl without commanding', height 24cm, hairline cracks

There is a hairline crack to the left of the spout running full height of the spout and there is a fine star crack to the base of the jug, some wear to the pink lustre around the edges otherwise in good condition with no chips or restoration.
