A 1920's French Cartier silver gilt, diamond and cream enamel double lidded compact, of rectangular form, each thumbpiece set with three round cut diamonds, with London import marks, signed "Cartier London" and "Cartier Made in France" and numbered 4527, in original fitted gilt tooled red leather Cartier box, 85mm.

The piece is in relatively unused condition considering it's age. There are a few minor discolouration spots to the side and base, possibly dirt? Interior glass in good order (apart from covered in powder). Original Cartier pouches present. No visible damage to any of the diamonds. Silk lifting tag frayed at one end. Marks clear. Original box in good condition.
There appears to be some very minute flaking to the enamel on the edges by the hinges.
