A Chinese blue and white double gourd shaped vase, possibly late Ming dynasty, the neck painted with ribbon tied objects, the lower half with four character inscription 'Beautiful vessel of the Jade Hall', amid flowerheads and scrolls, 17cm, hairline cracks

There is some slight accretion to the glaze on the body next to the character 'Jade', there is a hairline crack running from the centre of the vase in a diagonal direction for approx. 45mm and there are some fine stained star cracks to the base and a small hairline crack to the unglazed foot, otherwise no chips or restoration.
