Oil on original canvas with extensive damage as can be seen in photographs this work is very dark and dirty with some slight undulation of the canvas and numerous losses of paint, rubs and holes to the work, no sign of any signature, canvas is starting to come away from the stretcher at the top, a number of patches have been applied to the back within the past 10 years or so, underlying quality of the paintwork looks good however, no labels or inscriptions verso and not framed.
