Blundell of London. An early Victorian rosewood hour repeating mantel clock, of plain architectural form, with bronze handle and engraved silvered dial, twin fusee movement numbered 2806, (Henry Blundell recorded in Red Lion St, Clerkenwell 1830-1856) 10in.

Original bronze handle with some light wear to patination, top of case has splits running through the timbers onto three of the four corners of the glass panels, balance wheel escapement looks original, front door has trace of old splitting at the extreme top right corner and perhaps retouched repairs to the frame work, dial looks original and untouched if a little dirty, hands are oxidised, movement is going, repeat is out of sync with the hands, a flat headed screw has been inserted into the right hand side of the case to the lower right of the glazed panel, some oxidisation to the blueing of the gong and some rubbing to the backplate, but overall in good original condition. Comes with probably the original case and winding keys.
