Dame Lucie Rie D.B.E. (1902-1995). A stoneware elliptical bowl, the dark brown stoneware body covered in a thick white glaze to the interior and exterior, manganese rim, impressed monogram mark, 20cm across, firing imperfection to one side

There is a firing fault to one side of the bowl where the glaze is slightly whiter on the interior and part of the edge of the bowl has split and sagged slightly, please refer to photographs on website.
On the exterior there is a slight raised piece of clay, we have examined the area closely and there is no restoration as the areas is as hard as the rest of the clays around it, otherwise in good condition.
