The Guest Book of George and Marjorie Turner, Berlin, 1950's, containing numerous autographs of politicians, actors, journalists, writers, film directors, artists, military personnel etc., including Sir John Mills, Ian Fleming, Errol Flynn, Willy Brandt and Alec Guinness; with 13 TLS, mainly to George Turner, 1950's and 60's, authors to include Willy Brandt, James Robertson Justice, Charlton Heston (with a signed photograph) and Sir Richard Attenborough

Note: George Turner worked in Berlin as head of the Public Relations and Information Service Control Office (1945-48) and as Chief Press Officer and Senior Information Service Officer (1948-1963) for the British Military Government and the Foreign Office after the end of the Allied occupation. During their time in Berlin, George and his wife Marjorie extended their hospitality to a multitude of visitors from across the globe. The Turner family were particularly close to the German artist, Willy Robert Huth and his wife Ruth and were the recipients of several original postcards, watercolours and a linocut, also being offered in this sale.
