A large Chinese bronze pouring vessel, Yi, 17th / 18th century, the boat shaped body with a band of archaistic mythical beasts and leiwen, with zoomorphic shape loop handle, on four scrolled cabriole feet, length 74.5cm

The respected literature suggests that these very large vessels were used as censers, i.e. in this case filled with sand to facilitate the use of joss-sticks.
