A pair of 18th century Bavarian flintlock holster pistols by Johann Jacob Kuchenreuter, Steinwegg Bei Regensburg, circa 1750, both signed along the sighting flat and each with three gilt makers stamps, the locks chiselled in relief with a stag hunt and dogs with rococo ornament, the full walnut stocks with low relief carved leafy scrolls, the pummel caps decorated with figures duelling on horseback, and raised central oval embossed with a head in profile, both with original horn tipped ramrods, cleaned and restored, overall length 21.5in.
