A Minton majolica teapot in the form of a lemon, with moulded leaves and 'mushroom' cover, date mark for 1861, 17.5cm, some faults

2 inner rim chips- the damage along the top of the rim measuring 4mm and 2mm in length, there is also a minute spot along the rim where the glaze has flaked away. There is a 3mm chip to the underside of the spout's rim. There are four unglazed patches to the teapot's stalk and leaf shaped foot, possibly where addition leaves and foliage have come away.
Patches of light crazing to the glaze, as well as occasional minor surface scratching and occasional minor firing imperfections. There are some small areas of age-related wear to the glaze on the edges of the handle and spout. Typical wear to the feet of the teapot.
There is a chip on the flange of the teapot cover measuring 4mm x 3mm, occasional minor surface scratching and typical use-related wear along the bottom edge of the flange.
