A Chinese Peking knot rank badge, c.1900, now mounted on a European evening bag, the bird amid peaches, bats, clouds and flowers above Buddhist emblems and sea, 28cm

This rank badge has been made into a handbag so the panel is folded in half when shut, where the base of the panel is on the hinge of the bag there is some slight wear to the black ground and also to the very edges of the embroidery, there is the odd loose thread, generally colours nice and bright, some very light staining at the very top edge, otherwise good condition.
