A George III silver tankard, with domed cover by Benjamin Bickerton, with fluted thumbpiece, S-scroll handle and later engraved monogram, the handle with contemporary initials, London, 1760, height 17.8cm, 23.4oz(a.f.).

Condition:
There is a solder repair by the top if the handle. Lid loose in situ. A few dents to the rim of the cover. Probable erasure where the later monogram is. Numerous small dents around the body. Dents and splits to the handle. Large dent to the foot rim. Hallmarks clear but with some rubbing.
