A restoration project: case cover missing one gilt-metal spandrel, another detached and marginally incomplete; edge beading incomplete; key and key escutcheon missing; the two hallmarked silver key-type implements are not original to this box; exterior will benefit from an application of wax; cast gilt-metal feet complete. Interior mirror plate damaged and silvering worn; musical mechanism not working, key supplied does not work; one comb-tooth missing; contents of fitted tray incomplete, as shown.
