A large 20th century Uzbek multi coloured and embroidered Suzani wall hanging. The word Suzani meaning needlepoint in Farsi. Made in three panels embroidered on a rich dark red background, using large stylised multi coloured decorative boteh motifs, finely edged in black. 176cm x 194cm. Condition - some very slight fading to background cloth, due to age and use, embroidery strong in colour with no damage.
