An early 20th century French silvered brass grand sonnerie alarum carriage clock with fretwork panels to the face and sides, enamelled dial and alarum ring, unsigned movement striking on two gongs, numbered 1611, 10.5cm wide, 9.5cm deep, 17cm high

Condition:
Silvering to the case has almost entirely been rubbed away but still visible in the crevices, top plate looks original, movement ticks for a while then stops, repeat not working, dial looks good though fret work is in differing states of gilding much stronger on one side than the others, movement looks complete, gongs slightly oxidised, selector to the underside with instructions in English for quarters only / silent / hours and quarter, English script for alarum hands and set ... to the backplate, comes with two associated keys.
