Kentish & Haynes of London, a George III ebonised eight day bracket clock in arched case with silvered dial, with strike / silent and subsidiary date dial, twin fusee movement with verge escapement, engraved backplate and bob pendulum, 28.5cm wide, 19.5cm deep, 40cm high

Condition:
Overall in slightly negelected condition, the ebonising of the case has faded down to a dark brown tone with some grain of the timbers beneath showing through, various small cracks and dents scattered throughout, escutcheon missing from the front door and no key present, a later brass hook has now been applied to hold the door closed, one small section of veneer missing from the front door, dial looks original with oxidised marking to the silvering, feet look original. Back door with numerous cracks through the veneers, original lock now missing and filled in and a brass clip put in place to hold the door shut, movement looks complete but not tested for timekeeping, the brackets that hold it in place are of a different gilt finish to the remainder of the movement which is lighter in tone, comes with a later winding key.
