Oil on original canvas in honest untouched condition, a little fine but stable craquelure running through the paint with one notable line above the roof on the right, small dented ring marks at the margin at 12 o'clock, old tatty gilt gesso frame, label verso for City of Manchester Art Gallery Exhibition of Works by James Charles, George Cheffield ... dated 1912 and numbered 230, artist name and address in Chichester inscribed in pencil on the stretcher along with the title, further Brighton Spring Exhibition label number 764 on the back of the frame.
