Attributed to Peter Behrens (German, 1868-1940). An Art Nouveau pottery and copper overlaid vase by Marzi & Remy, Hohr, covered in a bronze coloured drizzled glaze, the copper foliate strap work mounts formerly gilded, impressed makers mark, 40cm high, some copper overlay lifting

As catalogued, gilding worn; some lifting of copper strapwork, most notably one patch at shoulder, approx. 12x12mm with section of copper alongside missing, approx. 4x2mm; and similarly, some lifting of copper around footrim necessitating a temporary tape-repair. Impressed maker’s mark indistinct.
