An early to mid 20th century French Van Cleef & Arpels 18ct gold and diamond set oval cluster dress ring, the centre cushion shaped old European cut stone weighing approximately 2.20ct, with an estimated colour and clarity of L/M and VVS, bordered by sixteen eight cut diamonds and outer border set with seventeen early/modern brilliant cut diamonds, total weight approximately 1.20ct, shank interior faintly signed 'Van Cleef', size O, gross weight 5.1 grams.

With copy of Goldsmiths insurance valuation dated 24/11/2006, which mentions the signature 'Van Cleef'. Minor nicks and scratches to the shank and settings in places, commensurate with age and some use. Signature very faint. Major adjustments to the ring head mentioned in the valuation. Appears to be a seamline around the underside of the head. Possible re-set at some point??
