James Potts of London. A Regency mahogany cased regulator, the rectangular 11 inch silvered dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes and seconds, unsigned four pillar movement with anchor escapement, case with fluted quarter columns and bracket feet, 183cm high

Condition:
Slightly faded but rich mid to gingery brown tone to the case and a fair state of polish, some fine hairline cracks running to the left of the hood below the moulded cornice, small bone knob holding operates the door, glass looks to have been replaced and hinges possibly reinforced, dial with some spotting and oxidisation but essentially good, movement looks clean and complete although not tested for timekeeping, trunk of case with old repair but what looks to be the original lock but no key, box base with some splitting and lifting of veneers, comes with an 8 inch brass pendulum with wooden shaft, single brass weight and winding key, together with a strip of loose veneer.
