Thomas Dalston. A William and Mary walnut and marquetry eight day longcase clock, the 11 inch square brass dial with silvered Roman chapter ring and date aperture, the case with floral marquetry panels and lenticle to the trunk door, 44cm wide, 198cm high

Condition:
Overall in somewhat neglected condition, the case very dark and dirty, hood with small losses to the mouldings and moulding and veneers missing to the left side, hood does not have a door but just pulls forward to access the dial, backboard with numerous old holes and minor splits and damage, dial heavily oxidised but signed at 6 o'clock, five pillar movement with anchor escapement, looks complete but negelected for many years, trunk door with small losses to the marquetry and further small losses to the veneers elsewhere, embossed metal coronet surround to the lenticle, looks original, box base rather small and a later replacement, trunk door has a later lock and key, comes with pendulum and two lead weights.
