Looks rather flat so may well be laid down and probably also a little faded but having still having fair differentiaton of colour, some scattered dirt marks, very little margin beyond the visible image, small crack in lower right corner of glass, original ebonised frame with minor chipping.

Provenance - Alfred Theodore Arber-Cooke (c.1910-1993); thence by family descent. Arber-Cooke lived in Carmarthenshire, Wales and was an avid collector of European & Asian works of art and an author of the History of Llandovery. He was collecting from the 1940s to the 1980s.
