Three Japanese boxwood or cherry netsuke of oni, Meiji period, the first depicting a seated oni holding a paint brush and inkstone, with horn inset eyes, 4cm high, the second an oni and an emaciated man clambering on a lotus leaf, unsigned, 4.5cm, the last, which is probably in cherrywood, of an oni trapped inside a box, engraved two character mark 'Masatoshi?', 3.2cm

Oni holding a paint brush - the boxwood is a little sun bleached otherwise in good condition, the second netsuke appears to have some slight wear to the carving, otherwise in good condition and the third netsuke is in good condition and is not damaged, the corners of the crate or box are carved to look as though they have chips on them by the netsuke carver.
