A matched part canteen of George III silver Old English pattern flatware by George Smith & William Fearn and Richard Crossley, with engraved armorial, comprising fifty nine items, London, 1789/90/95, together with twelve dessert and twelve table knives, John Tatum Snr and John Tatum Jnr, with demi-reeded octagonal handles, London, 1798, weighable silver 81 oz.

All knife blades are later replaced. All the knife handles exhibit small nicks, dings and scratches and some of the butt ends have small dents. Dessert fork tines are showing signs of slight wear. Overall, all pieces have numerous scratches in general, consistent with a fair amount of use and the age. Hallmarks clear.
