The left hand side at the front of the lid there is a piece of trimming missing, there is also a strip of brass inlay coming away in this area which is bent out of shape, on the front of the box at the top the entire outer strip of inlay is missing, there is also a horizontal split to the timber at the front, metal edges have several dings and dents, secret popping drawer mechanism still works and there is a piece of timber missing at the latch area, interior is generally a bit worn with several scuffs, scratches and worn away areas. The lid is faded, central plaque is worn and there are several scuffs and scratches.
