A Chinese white and russet jade 'peach' snuff bottle, 19th century, carved in relief with a figure of a bird and curled leaves, the stone with whiter and pale russet inclusions, coral mounted stopper, total height 6.7cm

Provenance: by family repute formerly in the Arthur Flynn collection, purchased from Bluett's before 1980.

Jade snuff bottle has natural inclusions and veining to the stone and has been reasonably well hollowed out, the stopper has a coral finial which feels a bit sharp where there has probably been some bits splintered off the top otherwise in good condition.
