Oil on canvas relined 30 - 40 years ago or more, canvas remains tight, paint probably a little dirty with a fine but stable craquelure running throughout, slight stretcher marks showing to the sides, no sign of any signature, title plaque applied to it along with an attribution plaque to the artist, slim giltwood frame with a number of chips and old retouches, two old labels verso, one inscribed F Smith Barry, the other Marbury Hall.
Not signed for dated. Attribution is based on style so perhaps one should regard this as attributed to, date comes from the title plaque.
