Estimate £700-1,000
This piece of furniture came from a warehouse where there was a fire and suffered from water damage, the overall colour is a mid to pale golden tone, but in a number of areas this has bleached down presumably due to water saturation, effectively the top and the stages at the sides all require repolishing as in fact really does the whole of the piece, the front shows trail marks from water along with splash marks, please see our photographs for further details. Two finials are missing from the raised back, there is no key, the Japanese panels are complete and in good order but again shows some staining from water and needs polishing, the interior of the bookcase is good, upper short drawer is stamped Lamb Manchester 4831, once repolished should restore to good effect.
