A Japanese ivory okimono of a kneeling musician, early 20th century, with brocade pattern robes holding a shamisen, two character signature carved to a red lacquer plaque to the base, height 9.3cm, wood stand, damage to shamisen

The okimono of a kneeling musician is made from two main parts with the hibachi next to him is made from a seperate piece, the neck of his shamisen has been broken off just by his left hand with remnants of old glue which really need to be removed so that it can be restuck properly, looks as though it is a fairly clean break though, otherwise in good condition.
